Re: Saga Jim Gilmour Sounds for Careful where you step

I am looking for Presets to recreate Jim Gilmours sounds on the Saga Songs Careful where you step and On the Loose. These are favorites of mine since I was a teenager  Jim Gilmour is amazing. I’m not really a sound designer so I can’t help with that, but I think those years were a lot of Pol ...

Just wondered about the new Export Current Program feature. It doesn't seem to work, but maybe there is a trick I don't get ? Does it export as SYSEX or Korg format ? Thanks in advance. Well this is a bit embarrassing, I did not notice that I had added that... I also can't remember ever adding that ...

I tried downloading the latest build again, extracting and running it, and same result. The Kronos Editor is "not a valid Win32 application. The PC is running WinXP. The same version loads OK on a Win10 laptop. . Aha that was the missing link. I don't actually have a Windows XP machine around ...

Hmm that’s odd. It should download a zip file, and inside the zip file should be KronosEditor.exe I just tried downloading and extracting it and it worked for me. I’ll try again this evening to see if I can find some problems, meanwhile I would ask you to try downloading it again to see if transfer w ...

It's back up.
I rebuilt it with a new up to date C++ runtime.
I didn't get to test it since this computer is not hooked up with midi, but if one of you tries it out and it doesn't work let me know.

If you want something real analog, maybe prologue or a Dave Smith would be nice, but if you want an expressive synth action keybed you might also want to take a peek at the Hydrasynth, which is a digital synth with amazing capabilities, but on top of that has a 49 key keyboard with polyphonic ...

Clearly Dan’s team at Korg USA has been hard at work on the new WaveState, so if there is a new workstation in the works, it’s not coming from the team that brought you Oasys/Kronos...
But yay, meanwhile we have MS-20 in spanking new colors, and a Kronos with new makeup...

Hi all, Surgery was successful! My Kronos went under for about 45 minutes, while I ripped out the insides, one piece at a time. I replaced the original pink rubber strips with the new blue ones. It's not very complicated, and after trying it out it feels better! (yay!) I recorded the whole ordeal ...

This is one video that may help with the actual proceedure.

Thanks, that video is a good reference.
I ordered a set of 7 strips and will follow up here when I get to actually do the upgrade.

Thanks,

Be careful before ordering and first check the plastic foot color on the keys, since you might need the pink contacts instead of the blue. There is an alternative part on the link provided above, depending on the color. About how to do it, I could guide if necessary. Once you got the action out, I ...

I had exactly the the same problem with a "refurbished" K88 some years ago...this was when Korg had just come out with the replacement (blue) contact strips, so it took me a couple of months of emails and phone calls (including a similar several weeks at an authorized repair shop that didn't fix ...

If ever it would be the case, the contacts themselves are rather inexpensive and they are not difficult to replace for someone with basic electronic repair skills. Otherwise, any decent tech from a local music store can easily do this in about an hour. Right... I actually had my original k88 in at ...

Re: Cancer Warning for Kronos2 61 hard case

What do you think about this California Proposition 65 Warning (Cancer and Reproductive Harm) for the Hard Case. How bad/serious is this warning? Pretty much every establishment in California that serves the public has that warning on the wall. It's always good to be aware of your surroundings, but ...
