Ok decided to go with the microSampler, have had fun with it a bit but haven't really played with it a lot, seems like a fun toy to have! Dunno if the roland would've been better for me cuz of the pads + more sample time.

Oh my god... this really works! I'm happy as a clam or any other seacreature! One thing I noticed tho, is that NOTHING STICKS TO BAKING PAPER. Well what I've gathered this far is, it affects mostly cutoff and fx edit knobs randomly. And afaik it only happens in the older SmartMedia version of the Electribes. Wouldn't be worried if you're buying new. Well I could contact Korg just to inform them, I really doubt they'd do anything about it ...

I'm having this exact same problem with my EMX smartmedia. It always fucks up my groove, because I don't always notice what it has changed and it's hard to backtrack if I haven't saved for a while. Hate it since EMX is this far the best groovebox I've worked with :/

I'm looking for the exact same thing as original poster. I don't have any screws on my emx's faceplate (dunno what the previous owner did with em O_o) and it makes it hard to carry around. Have to remind everyone even touching the thing not to lift it from the plate... Help would be welcome

Okay now I'm at a point where audio in thru plays the bass, but I still can't get the 'pattern' play it constantly (so I can actually use the effects) although it works just fine with a mic... weird. edit: got it working without doing anything but test it with a mic once more... welll at least it's ...

This helped me to kinda jam with the electribe, but what if I'd want to use the mx effects on my bass? Is it even possible?
