I've read though several threads on this topic, but I still have a few questions, as many of the posters seem to be from the UK, and the MX unit seems to have bigger issues than the sx in terms of noise with the original tubes. 1. Is there a difference between the type of tubes the mx and the sx are ...

In the US we have a saying " The squeaky wheel gets the grease" This was NOT Korg Canada BTW, you sent it to a licensed Korg affiliate, who has a subsidiary, http://www.eriksonmusic.com/. dealing with all KORG product issues. You are probably out of luck on the money end. But IF this is truly ...

Thanks for that tip. I'll search for them. I did find a website with a lot of free sounds from old drum machines like the 808 and 606, I have not tried them out yet though. they are in MP3 format. http://samples.sonicstate.com/listsamples.cfm? If you want to have a look, just change the type of ...

Haha yeah I know, but some parts of the manual are just not well explained, and the time I spend cross eyed trying to decipher what they mean instead of programming the unit is frustrating. For example, this thread helped me to understand something i wasn't getting out of the manual, and now I am ...

Sounds to me like you need to create 4 different patterns within a song. So create each pattern, and then put them together as a song in the order you need them to be in and save the song.

POM, I'm understanding it better, I've been out of town on business for over a week, but I try to squeeze in time whenever I can. I can think in terms of numbers, and that does help You know I never used one of these units before, and the first video I saw - confused me because it was done so ...

Well thanks to you I have figured out my errors on the pattern record. I was just not understanding how each measure has its own 16 notes that need to be cleared before you record a new pattern. I expected that "record" would clear all prior sounds without having to manually clear each 16th of each ...

"Sorry For the Long answer"? lol That's the kind of answer I wanted! Korg should hire you to edit their manual. I'm sure that the info is in it, but you explained how to use it way better than the manual does. Thanks a lot for your patience. This is the first sequencer/sampler I've ever owned. I ...

Thanks for those tips. I am at work now, but as soon as I get home, I will try that out.

I know I'm close to getting this, and you're right. I probably started off trying to do too much at once.

Ok I found this tutorial. It helps explain the basic things better. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3HQP73Ni6aY&feature=related I got all the basic stuff down up to actually recording a new pattern, and what I think I'm doing wrong is related to clearing the pattern using buttons 1-16. He also says ...

Ok so Now I've figured out some stuff with this, but when it comes to recording a SIMPLE pattern, I'm stuck. I have chosen D-1 as the new pattern. I picked out all my drum parts and assigned them 1-5, 6a/b and 7a/b, but I'm only using 1,3 & 5 for this particular pattern right now. I turned global ...

I was just reading the manual, and I figured out how to copy, but I didn't see "create a pattern" in there anywhere. I had read a review that the manual was not so great at soundonsound. Yeah that video was somewhat helpful, but he does make some assumptions that people will know how to do things ...

HI

New user. Just bought a new KORG electribe ESX-1 becuz my drummer moved too far away to play with us any more. :( So imagine you are 8 and your first swimming lesson consisted of your older brother or sister tossing you into the deep end of the pool, and you will know exactly how I am feeling right ...

I'm going by the manual and the quick start guide for this stuff. No where in the appendix is a page link to create a pattern, none I could see. Page 60 has "recording a phrase" is that another name for a pattern? I'm 2 days in on this machine. I did say it was a stupid question. Bear with me. :( I ...
