Why Korg continues to persist with this hogwash of putting superior acoustic sounds into their arranger keyboards and putting lacklustre guitars into their top of the range Kronos with it's massive 12GB of factory sound ROM is a complete mystery. Seriously, can't they see that both Roland and Yamaha ...

Gosh I feel so behind the times! I just read about the MOFX series today nearly 6 weeks after the announcement! I must be getting old. I'm actually really excited about the 88 note version as I'm waiting for a more 'compact' and lightweight 88 note synth to come out with 128 notes of polyphony, not ...

It seems that no one is making these kind of all in one recorders any more because, honestly, it's much cheaper and more flexible to get a laptop and your choice of DAW software and have 1000 times the power and flexibility! Think about Logic Pro X with your choice of a Macbook Pro and suitable usb ...

So Gibson have acuired Cakewalk! WOOOOPPPSSSS! Remember what they did to Opcode and their fabulous Studio Vision Pro and Vision DSP DAWs???? What a shame! And why would a guitar company want to buy out someone like Cakewalk anyway? Hopefully this want mean the demise of Cakewalk like what happened ...

The PA series arranger keyboards have excellent guitar programs that compare very nicely with what the Motifs have (both acoustic and electric). Why couldn't Korg incorporate this so called RX technology into the Kronos. No doubt, they're marketing the Kronos and PA lines to different players but ...

When I first heard that the Kronos was blessed with 12 GB of waveform ROM, I was salivating at the thought that Korg was finally going to get the acoustic and electric guitars up to Motif standard after the disappointments in the previous M3 and Triton Extreme series. Both Yamaha and Roland (Fantom ...

Played a Krome 61: Initial impressions.
I finally got the chance to play a Krome 61 at my local music shop the other day. I went away with mixed feelings about this keyboard: THE GOOD a). A very wide variety of 'meat & potatoes' sounds for gigging including nice acoustic and electric pianos, great drums, strings, basses, pads, even some ...

Why am I more inclined to buy a Krome over a Kronos.......
In answer to the question posed..... a). The Krome provides practically all the sounds that I'd require for gigging and one could be certain that 99.9% of punters wouldn't hear the difference between the Krome or a Kronos live! Korg should have retained the CX3 organ engine in the Krome though and ...

The Kore 64 sounds interesting but it would have perhaps been better for Kurzweil to bring out 2 expansions at the one time: 1 that caters for the more electronic end of the market with all the new synth and electronic drum samples etc. The other that caters for the more acoustic side with those ...

I'm very fussy with my organ sounds and since being spoilt by the awesome organ sounds in my Kurzweil PC361 (with much improved rotary speaker in V2!), I can't go back to playing static rompler organ sounds without all the drawbars. At least if Krome offered the CX3 engine with drawbar control from ...

IMHO the Krome is the next logical upgrade to the M50. However, I'm disappointed that Korg didn't go down the Kurzweil PC3LE route and include the clonewheel organ sounds as found on the Kronos (even if we haven't got the full 9 controls for drawbars... they could have been incorporated virtually on ...
