... it's a quality piece of kit costing less than both tribes ... Not quite. US price is $1199 - the Tribes cost $399 each. Elsewhere may be slightly different, but the European prices I've seen are compatible to these as well. No plans (that I have seen) for any sort of VST integration as of yet ...

Just syncing for now. I've looked at various docks over the years and am coming around to the idea that that may be the way to go. Has anyone tried to hook their EMX up to an iPad using this setup?

If not, does anyone have any experience with any connection between the two (without another device, i.e. laptop) involved? I've done some searching, but haven't found an answer that satisfies yet.

Met with my Roland rep today; he played dumb about the whole thing, but had a grin on his face. That says to me something is coming, but what it is I have no idea.

Yep! I was just curious if perhaps you had given the TR-8 a shot. I keep meaning to, but, like I said, I keep putting it off. Every time I fire up the TR-8, I just play with it solo!
