I was wondering if the grand piano voice is the hardest sound to get right. Will a stage pas or an amp be better for true piano sounds? yes, the pianos are the hardest sounds to get right. Just because you want that rich bass with the nice treble without it sounding corny or piercing. But, I think ...

Hmm... Not sure I understand your reply. Yes, my recording software will recognize the USB signal as a normal midisignal? or Yes, I have to use the normal midiport? 'recording software' will only recognise a signal from the xlr or trs outputs, unless your recording software also has midi ...

I've owned a SV-173 since November of 10 and on the E.2/#1 setting I've got both the amp and the tremolo. Sounds great. I might be lucky, but everything works fine on this unit. I did my test with headphones. Some FX are toned down in a live situation, but they still come through. I do agree with ...

because the SV-1 is a purely sampled keyboard (all sounds in it are recorded sounds), to be able to provide drawbars, korg would have had to record each individual drawbar. Since the sv-1 is actually the "stage vintage piano", the organs are really just an add-on, so the keyboard is actually aimed ...

effects, amp and rx noise

Hey everyone, Was just twiddling around with some of the sounds in the original factory sound pack (but this applies to all sound packs) and I came across something I had discovered a little while back but just forgotten about due to not playing very often. Anyway, thing is, I wonder if anyone else ...

I'm pretty sure the USB is only for midi. So like you say, you'll have to do it through XLR or the quarter inch ouputs. Infact I'm adamant that the USB is only for midi, due to the nature of recording on PCs and the fact that its never done through, unless of course there's some other interface ...

hey mackbaz, I just watched your youtube video, up to about 35 seconds, then I went to check out whether my keyboard makes the noises. What seemed to happen was, when I didn't press directly down, the clicking noise would come. From what I could work out, the clicking noise is the key you press down ...

What I mean is that the amount of Drive has already been set in the programming, so when you turn on the button there is already an amp sim/overdrive amount that the programmer intended to be used "as is". So there's two states - without and with. used as is. I don't mean to get into a deep ...

Jerry, for SV1, my main use of drive was the first few ticks as you said. However, when using the organs, particularly the B3 organ sound, if I got into a big solo, I have at times cranked the drive up to 8 or 9 with reverb of 8 or 9 also. Yes, it is very over the top, but thats what I was going ...

Hello: The Drive knob on the SV-1 in any Soundpack cannot be dialed up through its whole range... I understand that there were a few ticks of range possible in the preload and SP#1, but that's all... a few ticks at best. Right? Soundpack 2 delivers a different tonality and possibilities from the ...

The sound levels of different pianos from different sound packs doesn't really bother me, I havn't really picked up on it. I guess the main thing is that each sound pack has a consistent level of volume internally, rather than comparing different sound packs. I'm not so sure about my keybed...I ...
