Re: Toggle IFX Limiter On / Off with Foot Switch

Thanks for the suggestions. The link to the Kronos Users was interesting, but I already cross-fade using my expression pedal and the IFX's as suggested. What I am wanting to do is use the other pedal (the Foot Switch) to turn the IFX on and off as a toggle. My Foot Switch is set to Foot Switch in ...

Re: Toggle IFX Limiter On / Off with Foot Switch

Hi KK. I am in Combi mode and have Karma on as I'm using Karma Scenes, but I am not using it for sequencing. Can I make that work?

Toggle IFX Limiter On / Off with Foot Switch

Hi everyone, I am wanting to toggle an effect (Stereo Limiter) on and off with a foot switch. Essentially it is a way for me to instantly increase the volume on the particular patch and then revert to a quieter sound when needed. I have changed the Output Source to the Foot Switch, but it only works ...

Hi Dan, Your response was really encouraging as this is something I have been wanting to do for ages but haven't found a way. However I don't seem to be having much success. It sounds to me that when I use your settings and press the keys, the sound sweeps from the left to the right (reasonably ...

Panning Left to Right

Hi all, I am wanting to know if it's possible to have a sound pan from Left to Right with the pan only starting when the note is released. For example, a string or synth sound remains in the Left channel while holding the note, but move across the spectrum to the Right channel once you release the ...

Nice job on both the Yes and Karn Evil.

We do Yours Is No Disgrace, Siberian Khatru, Perpetual Change and I've Seen All People. Currently working on adding America and Roundabout, with Close to the Edge next on the list!

Close to the Edge by YES

Hi all, Our band has decided to do Close to the Edge by Yes. An incredible song with some of the simplest keyboard parts I've ever heard (tapping a high C on the organ for a whole verse!) and some nice complex chord progressions. The Kronos 2 has many of the sounds, including the nice big organ in ...

Kind of an obvious point, but is it possible that it's not the Kronos causing the distortion, but whatever the player having the problem is putting it through - the PA or a mixer, for example? I'm sure he'll have eliminated that possibility, and I take KK's point about amplitude etc, but I'm ...

Thanks ITguy54. I am sure that's possible on the Kronos and is exactly what I'm after (ie holding the maximum crescendo point until I release), but I have never done that so I'm not sure what would be involved. I currently have a programme that gives me the reverse piano. I don't know if you can ...

Thanks KK. I didn't know of TidyKronos so I'll give that a go.

Sorry fo the dumb question, but when you're using the Editor, do you have the PC connected to Kronos? I presume this is why it is able to play after editing.

Distortion

HI all, On the FB page for Keyboards Players in Cover Bands, one of the contributors says he's having a problem with distortion on some timbres and is wanting to work out what the problem is. I have had this happen to me, and normally use a process of elimination and random parameter changes to try ...

Roundabout - Reverse Piano Sustain

Hi everyone, We are playing Roundabout by Yes. I have created a reverse piano for the intro. I want to be able to hold the crescendo until I am ready to release the chord and the guitarist strikes his harmonic. But I can't seem to find a way to make the reverse piano hold once it reaches its peak ...

As far as I know, Karma Scenes is the only way to do what you are describing. As well as being limited to four modules, it can have some other limitations. In my case, I often use the same sustain pedal to control the Kronos and the slave keyboard (a Korg TR). This is done through Karma but isn't ...
