@DrHoo no its just dry, i tell you i'm actually keen to unlock the beast! i'm just a little apprehensive to spend much on outboard gear to go with it to wake up one day like "i want a moog" lol
and cheers to tpantano for the advice!

thanks for all the replies! and i'm using those as examples, basically i haven't been able to get a bass sound out of the ms20 mini that is "fat" enough for my liking, been a moog lp fan for ages but never broke the bank for one, was thinking the ms20 mini was a good compromise but it hasn't cured ...

daft punk bass sound

Since i got my ms20 mini i've been trying to get that really juicy bass sound like on the daft punk track voyager (http://youtu.be/Dkik97YkiE0?t=32s) and some funkadelic type thing they did (http ...

switch vibrato

hey guys i copied a patch setting from the manual for wheel controlled vibrato, which is cool but i would like to assign it to the momentary switch and use the wheel for pitch. when i simply changed the patch so that the switch is the source, i get vibrato normally and it stops when i press the ...

I suggest that you sell the amp and get a pair of quality PA speakers that work at home and for gigs, like the QSC K12. The difference in sound quality is astounding. but those speakers are about $1200 each aren't they? i was thinking if i would go the pa route i would probably get a yamaha powered ...

bother buying studio monitors?

hi all, i've recently been thinking about the way i amplify my kurzweil pc3 and nord electro 3 (yeah no korgs atm but i still like this forum). i currently amplify my keyboards through a peavey kb5 which i'm happy with when i'm jamming in a band setting but the thought has come up that i'm not ...

I don't recommend you the M3 due to its shortcomings (repeat, for korg zealotes: I am talking about the m3, not the Kronos). m3 76 = 2200 eur ca pc3 76 = 1300 eur ca, + matrix1000 250 eur + mopho 250 eur = 1800. or pc3 76 = 1300 eur ca + used virus keyboard, less than 800 eurs the thing is here in ...

ah man its so hard to decide, i get 2 weeks of uni soon so i suppose i could get stuck into vast then, and i get 3 months of at the end of the year, but i think i would rather spend the time advancing my playing ability. they are both such nice instruments :)

Thanks ozy, that was useful info for me. What i'm still not sure about is is programming on the pc3 just slower by naturethan the m3? Or can u program at a decent speed once u understand vast? I myself usually tweak presets, and i'm scared that i might get the pc3 and spend all of my ime trying to ...

pc3 synth sounds vs m3 exb radias

hi everyone i have one very specific question, and i realise korg forums may not be the best place to ask this... but if you wanted a keyboard to write prog metal with, and you were only concerned with synth sounds, and you had the choice between an m3 w/ exb radias or a kurzweil pc3 what would u ...

well atm i've got a nord electro 3, i sold my korg m50 61 to raise funds for it and i also felt like i was going to break the keybed. i'm now looking for a replacement for it and i am considering a motif as i can probably get one for a good price but i really don't wanna miss those awesome synth ...

motif xs synth

hi all, i would just like to know what everyone thinks about the synth sounds of the motif xs. i've heard that they are "dull" when compared to the korg m3, but is that just the programming? or is the synth engine just not as good as korg's? if it helps one of my main interests is lead sounds (big ...
