yes and no you can use midi notes to control the 4 sample pads but for the synths its all done with cc numbers to get a note you have to transmit 3 numbers the x y and touch Cool. I know what is a MIDI CC message, (x and y) but what is the "touch" ? I want to trigger the kp3's synth from a midi ...

Isn't there a cheaper way? I thought about wiring a hand made cable that would double the 2 channels so i could have 2 lefts and 2 rights joining on a L/R cable... but i'm afraid it will be noisy etc... You should be afraid of burning out the outputs of one or both of the devices you hook together ...

Hey guys, have you ever found yourself in the need to have more inputs for the kp3? The point is, i would like to have many devices (kaossilator, a synth, etc) plugged to the line in of the kp3 so that i could sample or apply fx on top of them. Now the problem is i don't want to plug/unplug cables ...

the kaossilator has a very basic loop sequencer that can reach up to 16 bars where you can record what you play. That means you can't load "your own" loops (its not a sampler). The recorded sequence can't be stored. It will only last until you power off.

that seems like a lot of work for a simple midi clock signal when the thing already lets you choose bpm?? well, i really find the lack of midi sync a major issue if you're trying to use the kaossilator in a live rig like i do... yeah tap tempo is ok but if you're changing tempo very often it's ...

maybe putting a transparent "grid" (paper as suggested somewhere) could make life a little easier... like that u could remember graphically where a note ends/start on a grid...
