You might fare better making a dedicated post in Korg Synths (General)... However, as far as I know the answer is not really. X5D is the closest, but is missing some banks and the sound quality is supposedly worse. N5EX, NS5R and other late AI2 instruments have a lot of the same underlying samples ...

I'd love to write a proper update, sadly there's not much to report. I have found a few more people who supposedly have the patches, but the experience has frankly been downright bizarre. Some people take ages only to say they don't want to talk, others say the might be able to help, only to ...

Can't say that I do, but it's not out of the question that the Triton is simply expecting something to be connected to those ports for the test to proceed. They do appear to actually work after all. Have you tried ENTER + 4? According to a service manual I found that should test the SIMMs and ...

Before doing anything else, you should probably double check that the RAM is compatible with the specifications defined by Korg. I found this document for the Rack, but it should be the same for the regular Triton: http://i.korg.com/uploads/Support/TRITON%20Rack%20FAQs_633667564597000000.pdf It ...

I should clarify that the problem in my case was the external AC to AC brick, though it's plausible that a similar issue might arise from the internal power cicuitry. I live in hope this is an extremely rare issue. I can only imagine how many people would give up on diagnosis, especially if one didn ...

Not exactly the same thing, but I did have an issue where my Karma would start producing loud screeching noises in specific situations such as particularly busy Combis. Amazingly the issue turned out to be a wildly out of spec cheap power supply bought by the previous owner. Apparently it was just ...

Also, just to be clear, have you tried putting your files in the same folder (0-99) the Karma wrote in and/or pressed the buttons on the Gotek to switch disks? If the files are in a different folder, you need to manually switch to it on the emulator. That is, if the emulator treats the folders as ...

I'm using a Gotek in my Karma, I haven't had any issues with it seeing files from my PC. One difference I notice is that I used the built-in formatting on the Gotek itself: https://www.gotekemulator.com/N_view.asp?nid=45 This is more awkward on the PC side because all the "disks" are different ...

Some other things I've found along the way

Well, I was hoping to do this in a more organized manner at a later date, but after hitting a few more brick walls on the HV front, who knows when I'll have the motivation. Maybe a gesture of my interest in preservation will even lend a bit of credibility to my own request. Here goes, the freeware ...

I'm aware of those files, but unfortunately they don't include the actual synths, making them mostly useless. I think they do include functional effects, if someone is interested in those alone. If that's the case and the link stops working, I have everything backed up. I also have some additional ...

Surely somebody must know something?

If you do know anything about the developer or how this thing could be made available to the community, please consider discussing it here or dropping a pm. I'd hate to see it become lost in time, and it's beginning to feel like a real possibility with the community getting smaller and smaller. It's ...

Korg Oasys PCI Harm Visser patches

Does anyone have any tips on how I might get my hands on the old Harm Visser toolkit for Oasys PCI? It hasn't been for sale in ages, and the creator seems completely unreachable. Any help is greatly appreciated, I've been looking for a while and the idea of all this untapped potential is really ...
