I have another electribe Sampler... if I swap the motherboard from the broken one into the functional one will I be able to access the pattern data?

So this brainless bovine knelt on my electribe, 2 Sampler, destroying the x/y pad. I opened up the unit and disconnected the x/y ribbon, put the unit back together and it worked, aside from no x/y pad. It worked for about a day then it wouldn't power on at all.
