I tested the phones and they are working but nothing when jacked into the Korg.

The screen lights up and, indeed does change with the up/down button.

Is there a "standard" setting I can default to in some way?

A friend has gifted me a Korg 01/W and I really only want to use it as a keyboard [sorry ] it had no manual with it so I'm groping in the dark. I hoped to use earphones to avoid disturbing neighbors, but although I can power it up and get screen readings I'm at a loss to make audible sounds. I ...
