Thanks for putting this together, there are definitely new sounds with nice character in! Will load these after work, I'm curious to see how some are built up.

Does the SE behave like an USB audio device? If not, that could be added to the list.

And yeah, we can pretty much state there is a consensus about the price. For that money, you can buy a very nice master keyboard. But then it's not one beautiful instrument. Difficult decisions ...

Most likely just a money thing that makes the difference between what we'd like to see and what the development team is actually spending its time on. I don't have actual numbers, but it's probably not a wild guess that the Opsix had a lot less sales than other more mainstream products. Of course ...

Did anyone contact Korg support about this? As long as they're not aware of the issue (or it didn't get enough 'upvotes' by the number of complaints), it is highly unlikely a dev will be addressing it and have it fixed in some update.

Well, it seems like screen issues are a common thing: https://www.reddit.com/r/synthesizers/comments/wlyh0k/psa_defective_opsix_owners_korg_has_runout_of/ It would be most obvious to be a hardware issue. Mine had been sitting in a box for months during construction of my house, and didn't give ...

Seems that it is 24 when you use the HD waveforms, as described here: https://www.soundonsound.com/reviews/korg-opsix . Not sure what the part about 4 or 3. I never ran into such a low polyphony. Only if you use Unison, that multiplies the number of voices needed by that setting. But that's for ...

Well, we can't decide what influences your decision. It's up to you at the end :) I can name a few things that would affect my choice for sure. - polyphony - keyboard (albeit only 37 keys, at least they're full size) - sustain pedal support (is this now supported by Volca FM2?) - unison (it brings ...

Yeah, let's spread some positive sounds on this board! Regarding the TX waveforms, you can achieve that by adding an effect operator to a sine. All equipment is currently boxed here due to construction, so I can't check nor that I exactly know how to do it. There were some filters that "only let ...

Well, it wasn't my intention to make an exact reproduction of a DX7 on the opsix. In my opinion, if you're looking for that, then get a DX7. Envelopes behave different and that's something I expect and accept to be different. Also I'd like to build patches and not just import downloaded patches. FM ...

Yes, I can confirm the same is happening here. Some findings: - when the TR-8S is set to 135 BPM, it gets much more out of sync than when running in 120 BPM - for tempos where they do run good (near perfect) in sync, doing a "Nudge -" on the TR-8S (just once) helps Second test is to try it using ...

Interesting, especially since its getting gradually out of sync. I've had an identical setup (TR-8S is the clock boss, Opsix listens), but didn't let it run for more than a minute or so.
Will give it a shot and see what happens.

Sorry to hear that. I'm not trying to spoil fun, rather trying to be as honest as possible to give some usable advice. It's actually my job to build software, where I'm quite picky about usability. I can understand why the Prophet Rev2 would be very usable and - hate to say it - an opsix or Digitone ...

This is a tough one, I'll try to answer in the context of: how useful is this synthesizer if the display and all indicator LEDs were broken? The fun can be split up into two parts I think: The first part is just playing the instrument. There's a keyboard, a mod wheel, pitch bend, so nothing new here ...
