Korg's own MicroKorg VST Emulation Plugin is Here!

"To celebrate the 20th anniversary of its release, the original "microKORG" will be reintroduced as software: microKORG for Mac/Win" Yes, it's the 20th anniversary MicroKorg. So glad they got this out. The user interface has all functions and values on display, and there's even an oscilloscope for ...

Korg's own MicroKorg VST Emulation Plugin is Here!

It finally happened! Korg released its own VST emulation of the MicroKorg. Sale price: $99. Let's call this what it is: the 20th Anniversary MicroKorg. It's a couple months late, but hey--it's still '22. From Synth Anatomy: microKorg https://www.synthanatomy.com/2022/11/korg-collection-4-adds-three ...

Drumlogue--Cues from Elektron?

Glad Korg is finally releasing some hardware. I had nearly given up hope. It looks like they've taken a few cues from the Elektron series; rivals the Syntakt. How about the price?

OK, VST software--how about a VST version of the MicroKorg, which is now 20 years old as of this month. How about a 20th Anniversary Legacy VST edition? I'm saving some cash to buy an MK VST—IF they actually produce one.

The big news is already out; Roland's Juno X, Oberheim's OB-X8. But Roland won't be at NAMM this week either. And what does Korg have to show? The NTS-2 Oscilloscope? A warmed-over Volca FM? C'mon Korg, is that all you got to show for one of the greatest synth creators in the world? I'm more than ...

My question is this (and this is not sour grapes): if I already own a Wavestate with the free Editor/Librarian software, why would I need the Native VST? What more functionality would I gain from the VST that I don't already have? I can easily integrate the Wavestate with Ableton--do it all the time ...

Loading Enigmatic Collection from PCG files

I still got the Karma and I still play it. I have downloaded the PCG files from the Enigmatic Collection #1, #2, #3. How do I load the files onto the Karma? Do I have to transfer them to floppy disks first? Is there some way to load from a computer? I'm using Mac OS Catalina and Monterey.

korg 2022

Looks like Korg is going to release those synths in 2022 that they promised in 2021 but never delivered. Some professional arranger workstations. That's about it.

microkorg--Can't wait for the new version

I've been waiting for news for a possible 20th Anniversary edition of the Microkorg, but I decided to go ahead and buy a used one instead. The 20th Anniv. edition, if there is one, will probably come down to a new color scheme. And will be wildly expensive, given today's chip costs and supply chain ...

Colors...

yep, looks like a change of colors for the 20th edition of the MicroKorg mk1. That's about all we got to look forward to. Seems Korg's philosophy has always been 'It's a classic; if it sells, don't change it.'

NTS-1 One Fatal Flaw

The One Fatal Flaw for me is that the effects processor cannot be set independently for the onboard oscillator and another instrument coming through the external input. I have tried this with using an onboard drum oscillator and a guitar or synth external in. If I set the effects that's optimal for ...
