These two videos are what I've used so far to try and get my Kronos to work as an external instrument: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mZDwJrBqZts https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d_S63n3V71Y Apparently, this is a super simple process, but something has gone all screwy here. I still have MIDI in and ...

Kronos as an external instrument
I'm trying to set up my Kronos as an external instrument in Cubase 11. I've already set it up as a VST and Cubase shows the MIDI input is working, but I'm not hearing anything back. Currently, I have it connected via MIDI in and out to my Focusrite 6i6. Local control is off. I tried following ...

Lead sound
So, I'm researching how to make a Rudess style lead sound. I found a post on specific things he programs for the joystick, but I have no idea how to do these things and I can't find anything online, so here I am. I've quoted what Rudess had to say on his lead sound. Any help here is greatly ...

Rudess lead sound
I've been doing some keyboard stuff for a rock group and I'd like to have a lead sound similar to Rudess' lead sound. Anyone on here know what goes into making such a patch/combi?

Sure, down the rabbit hole we go! The weird thing is, I had the Kronos hooked up with TS cables to the same Focusrite but to an older PC and there wasn't even an inkling of noise anywhere. This noise is a bunch of random pops and crackles which, again, only show up when the Kronos is connected via ...

Hi, Chris. Thanks for this information! It sounds like it works really nicely and has very few issues. I'm not married to the idea of running my Kronos as a VST. I simply thought that was the one way to do it and get everything to work correctly. The only reason I'm not capturing the audio straight ...

I followed what this guy did, even though I don't speak German, and I got Cubase to recognize the Kronos as an external instrument/plugin, but when I play something on the Kronos, I hear nothing. It's receiving MIDI from the keyboard, but no audio. For some reason, it shows banks A and U without the ...

Kronos and Cubase
I am trying to set up my Kronos as an external instrument in Cubase Pro 11. I've downloaded and installed the Korg plugin editor and I've created a Cubase patchscript file that registers as a txt file for the Kronos. I've tried adding it into Cubase to no avail. I've also followed the Cubase ...

Kronos MIDNAM
I'm looking for a midnam file for the Kronos. Does anyone have one they'd like to share? I'd appreciate it! If not, then I've read I can make one, but I genuinely don't know the first thing about making midnam files. Anyone got any tutorials or tips on how to make a midnam file for a Kronos 2? EDIT ...

[quote="Purgatory"]Check and turn down the mic/line level knobs at the back of your Kronos to zero, there are two inputs at the back with dials turn both to zero/MIN. Easy test is go to sequencer mode (follow instructions below) and listen for it if it is there then the knobs have been turned up ...

I just replaced the old cables with these. The previous cables were TS cables. The noise level went down a bit when I got these new cables. The headphone jack doesn't give me any noise at all. [quote="Track 7"]The new TRS cables sound like the prime suspects. Do you have others to try? Also, do you ...

Kronos making noise
I have my Kronos hooked up to my newly built PC through two brand new TRS cables going into my Focusrite 6i6. For some reason, my Kronos is making noise in my headphones coming out of the Focusrite (I know it's the Kronos because when I unplug the cables from the left and right mono outputs, the ...

Stand for the Kronos
I've been looking for a good stand that I can use when I take the Kronos out for a show. I've got a cheap keyboard stand that I've been using for keeping the Kronos at home, but I REALLY don't want to use this stand when I take it out (it's unstable and wobbles quite a bit). My first thought was to ...
