The OP wishes to pay for one copy, and use it on two computers, but not at the same time. in other word,s to use it like a book.
and from what I understand, this will not work, unless you migrate the license to a dongle somehow (i recall some versions using that).

The Roland keyboard is NOT class compliant, tu has usb. the yamaha only does midi and serial. Was the roland hooked up with usb? If so did it pop up an error when you tried to select the device?? Was a royal pain, as the oscillator waveform used (Prosync) seems detuned, and i had to try and correct it with osc1 ASDR pitch curves.

It's my experience that if the vsti is in combi mode then bank select LSB will change the combi card. any preset on the card can then be selected with program change, regardless of where the presets are made from. if it's in prog mode, then you get the prog cards instead, and get single programs ...
