PEDAL STEEL GUITAR
I hear so many good country songs, however, trying to emulate a Pedal Steel Guitar, my attempts are pretty dismal. Can you advise on some settings for me? FX etc.
Thanks,
Jim

Downloading from the PA4X to the PA1000
I'm currently looking at using a PA1000 as backup to my PA4x. Would there be any issues in downloading the 4x data to the 1000? I'm particularly interested if there would be any concerns on the transfer of my Songbook data. Would the selection of OS. have any influence on the transfer.?
Thanks,
Jim

Many thanks Biggles.
I currently select a Save All File. As per your Point 1, where do I access a Back Up File?

Jim

PA4X DATA STORAGE
All of my material is based upon Factory Styles. I save my changes to a USB Flash drive (F) (Thanks to Pete's support (Oct7th/2018) for the guidance). To date I have yet to Load any of my saved Data back into the K/B. With 3 years work, I'm apprehensive about doing this with concerns about losing ...
Recording
I write some of my own songs for personal use only, using factory styles, and download as an MP3. I,m sometimes asked to supply the music for the song in Tablature format. Can this be achieved with the 4x?

Ron and Pete, Again many thanks for your assistance in this matter. I've finally managed to get a solution to this one, mainly based on your support. Here is my approach. 1. Select song (In this case I was playing in G, however the KY/BD was transposed down by 4 semitones E flat) 2. Record the song ...

Thanks Ron and Pete for your support. I did a recording without transposing and both the Melody and Vocals were good. Sorry to be a pain but at which point Ron do you transpose after you have completed the recording? How do you achieve the transposed finished MP3 recording that includes the correct ...

Thanks Pete, Just to confirm, I took a factory style, modified it slightly, transposed it by -4 thus able to use a "G" shape for the melody that was actually in E flat to suit my vocals. I then selected to record as MP3, singing along with the melody. On playback, the vocals sounded as if they were ...

MP3 Recording and Keyboard Transpose.
I have recorded a style as an MP3. I had the keyboard transposed as -4. Thus playing in a G configuration to suit my vocals I was in E flat. The result was that the melody was fine, however my vocals were "down in my boots" Is it possible to record an MP3 with the keyboard transposed and have ...

Saving an MP3 to the songbook
I've just recorded a Style and saved as an MP3 in my 4x. Is it possible to save the Mp3 in the Songbook and for subsequent use in the SongList? Thanks Jim

Update to my previous comments on vocals and the PAs
One improvement and in particular to the PAs and vocals is as follows. I keep the VP output from the 4x connected to my external Amp to Output1. From VP output 2, I connected a small TC Helicon amp, which now serves as my vocals monitor. This serves the purpose of keeping the PAs vocals free, and at ...
