I use the Korg DS1H - it's sturdy and as good as any other single pedal out there, and there's no doubt about compatibility with the Kronos.

Appreciated man. I actually went over the delay of the click a lot of time and I did get that right, listen over and over with the right track. I think the thing is that I'm horrible recording, playing it live I do it perfectly but always when I'm recording I have that pressure on my mind damn I'm ...

I think the problem is that in your timbre, the click sound isn't quite right and the rhythm isn't quite there. In the Van Halen intro, it sounds like an actual drummer is doing it on a separate rhythm track, not like it's part of the synth timbre. It has its own rhythmic stability that stands ...

Thankyou for your replies guys, I'll give it another try tonight and let you know how I get on.

It's amazing how much time I have spent on my Kronos trying to get it to sound like my old T1 patches!

Using LFOs

Ok, so I'm gradually figuring out how to design sounds on this thing - it's terribly complex compared to what I'm used to on older synths, but I'm getting there. My biggest confusion is in using the LFOs. I'm getting nowhere in understanding the signal paths, how to get them to behave in obvious ...

But still i don't find it easy to trust the government no matter how mixed up i get the details of their activities. I knew i could bring it to the forum and get straightened out. Lots of smart people here. I haven't been so far gone by all the stories out there to the point of sitting at my kronos ...

Are you saying you recorded an audio track on Cubase, or a MIDI track? If it's an audio track, no you can't separate out all the timbres.

I can't get my head around how you can get sympathetic resonance without using the SGX2 engine? It's a dedicated engine designed to produce frequencies related to the notes you play, right? So how can you implement such an effect in Combi mode when Combis are just the combination of other programs ...

So you want it to behave like the Vector joystick? I can see this being problematic for the main joystick because you need to be able to find the zero position quickly in order to be playing in tune. Without the springs, I think it would be impossible to do it quickly or easily.

Re: Understanding AMS (foot pedal vs knobs)

Hi, I'm trying to modify the stock preset IA-11 (Japanese Grand + Strings) on my Kronos X. Out of the box, the knob 6 will adjust the level of the strings. If turned fully down, then I get no strings, if turned fully up then I get plenty of strings. I would like to modify this so instead of using a ...

I think this page is worth a look through too: http://moogfoundation.org/learning-synthesis/synthesis-fundamentals/ Personally, I think it's essential to at least have a look at the basics of envelopes because all of those parameters are going to take forever to figure out by pure experimentation. I ...

Regardless of whether or not I would personally like a piano roll editor on the Kronos, I really REALLY wouldn't wait for one as chances are extremely slim it will ever arrive. I appreciate that, Sander. I'm not waiting as much as I'm asking for Korg to consider it. I know there's a chance it'll ...

I'll vote Yes on behalf of those who want it, although I have no need for it myself. I only use the sequencer for playback, if I use it at all. I do all of my recording in a DAW, even the Kronos's lovely touch screen is no match for a DAW with two 24" monitors. But I can understand why those who ...

That's pretty cool. I'd love to be able to enter notes on my Kronos with a pen (or a mouse) on a grid/piano roll. It's incredibly useful for entering parts that are impossible to actually play. That's what prompted my new thread asking for Korg to include a piano roll on the next update. They even ...
