I see this thread is REALLY old. But I am having the same issue. Argh. Just took my KP3 out of the closet after years of storing and now it seems like the Pad has gotten stuck. I can only use the TOP vertical row. And on top of that horisontal wise, the top row it's also off like 3 or 4 squares. I ...

Bought a Kp3 used a few years ago and it have had this problem from the start. Today I stumbled on this thread and tried the calibration out and it worked. SO AWESOME...
