Love it and love to hate on it! but seriously there is no other piece of kit I keep going back to as much as this! I love the lush ambient pads and fx capabilities, I only wish editing and song construction tools where stronger. If you have a spare hand to change patterns and trigger pads, it ...

I'll assume the silence means that KORG have added nothing worth getting excited about. Either that or everyone has sold their e2's and moved on LOL

Is it worth upgrading from electribe v1.06?

At the moment I can swap firmware, although I can't say I really use the es2 side of things as it's a bit crap. So what exactly has been added (if anything) since 1.06 that makes it worth updating?

Have Korg now abandoned the electribe?

I mean, when was the last update? Do you think we'll see another? James Pullen said when the hack came out that they were in the middle of a release. Where is it then?

Try unplugging, removing all batteries, memory card and audio/midi cables, leaving for at least 20 secs (wait a few mins to be sure), plug in power adapter only, switch back on.

Oh, and check you are using correct power supply for the Electribe ;-)

Damn it, you nailed me.  :!:

I am the future you. The same, just happier!

Seriously though. I reckon it's a fake. The hack is easy, and if you do it wrong it's just gives an error.

Re: Upgrade E2 to ES2 and vice versa!

I heard that now the Electribe Sampler has been released there will be the ability to add the sampling functionality to the Electribe 2 :) In this case I think there will be two content upgrades. 1) E2 sampler upgrade - add all sampling functionality from the ES2 to the E2. 2) ES2 synth upgrade ...

You can't put a cease or desist on common knowledge.

Anyway, they don't need it. They could just pull the plug. This forum is hosted by them right?

Hey, I never thought of that! Export E2 loops to the memory card, switch to ES2 firmware, then load the loops from card. I'm guessing these will be in Stereo though right, hence the need for a computer.

Not if you avoid the slots mentioned above.
