From a cruise through the Facebook group looks like there's no problems with trackpad for other people. So it's probably just me and/or my perceptions are off, which is overall just fine and a good thing! I thought I had put enough caveats in my earlier posts because I wasn't 100% certain of this ...

Thanks for the suggestion. No, factory reset + retry firmware didn't work (for me). Reformatting the SD card & retrying with v1.10 didn't work, neither did formatting & trying another SD card (just in case). Each time: "Error / Invalid file". I'm sure down the road other useful info will pop up as ...

For the record I'd love to be wrong about this! Looking back at the e2 tear-down album (http://imgur.com/a/xfox2) the touchpad appears to be a bog-standard, 4-wire, X-Y only, gets-the-job-done component. Why finger pressure to keep the pad engaged would now feel like it's playing by different rules ...

Yes, sorry... bad explanations I guess and I should have used the phrase "requires more force". Serves me right for rushing. Let me try again: 1. It seems to take more downward pressure on the XY pad to engage MFX/arp gate. 2. It seems to take more continuous pressure to KEEP it engaged. 3. As a ...

The usual caveat: This is only my personal impression and I knew the usual risks in updating right away. More accurately, the XY pad seems to require more (edit: MORE force, not less as the original post said, my bad) force to keep it engaged. I can bounce the MFX on/off/on/off without removing my ...

Back in June I concluded my e2 adapters were duds. I filled in the form on Korg's support page, mentioning I was having trouble getting them to work in any configuration and (politely) that I had seen that others on this forum had the same trouble. Korg support emailed me back within the week asking ...

Happy to hear it's useful info. I also saw it got posted to the "KORG ELECTRIBE 2 & Sampler" Facebook group by Sumako Artist -- thank you & hope it helps those folk too! Quick little request: Could Sumako (or someone else who is in the group) post a comment about how to get the stuck notes unstuck ...

Here's what I've found (On OS 1.0.3). Sorry, it's kind of long -- To 'latch' the gate arp to trigger a single note as per another thread on these forums: - Kaoss/XY pad is in Gate Arp mode only - Keyboard pads are in trigger, keyboard, or chord mode 1. Trigger note and hold down the pad. 2. Press ...

Coolorcaps might be an option. Their website lists large and small caps with D-shaft orientations of 0 degrees, 90, 180 and 270. That should take care of the "south facing" knob issue.

Yep: A nanoKontrol2 works OK for 8 parts on faders, or all 16 parts if 1/2 are on knobs and 1/2 are on faders. Use the extra buttons for toggles on something else you'd like to tweak frequently like MFX Send and it's a good companion. I've had good experiences using a MIDI Fighter Twister as a 16 ...

FWIW (hi, I'm new, been lurking for ~2-3 months now) the MIDI Fighter Twister has been a good fit for me. A little bit of mapping of its 4 banks of 16 push-encoders gives me 8 parameters per part with knob-per-channel control (knob 1 always controls part 1, etc). The first bank alone makes for a ...
