I just tried another vain google search to see if anyone has figured out a reliable way to get a hi hat sound without triggering any other drum samples--so I thought I'd try and resurrect this thread. Anyone? From what I can tell, the hi hats are attached to other drums--which is a bummer.

Sure, thomas! There is a more sophisticated one around on the site here, which Waterdrum pointed out to me after I posted mine. There are some things I like better about my layout--but in a lot of ways the other one is a lot more powerful. So, if you want to check that one out...http://www ...

Hmm...I clicked on the link on this page and it worked for me. If you want to give me your email address (feel free to private message me) I can just send you the file. I've updated it since posting it.

OK cool. I think the main advantage is that it's not visually overwhelming, with each program laid out on its own page. I'm still messing with it, so if you ever want a hopefully more cleaned up version, let me know and I'll repost it.

Portions of it are quite beautiful imo--like my page of algorithm parameters (for copying into the detail pages). Portions of it ...

Thanks guys. I looked up the Global's preset list, and the frame drum preset does use voices that aren't in the silver.

The global looks pretty nice--that's the first time I looked at it closely. Now I want one!

Oh God, I just searched the forum and saw the Global has a frame drum preset for frame drum. Well, I don't have a global. I don't know much about percussion instruments--so maybe there are a million different types of frame drums, or maybe the sound in the song is a different kind of drum altogether ...

Programming Challenge

Hello all, I'm new to the forum. I was motivated to look for help because there is a drum sound that I'm obsessed with getting from the wavedrum (silver, regular wavedrum) that I can't figure out how to get even close to. I was wondering if anyone has any ideas. I've tried a few algorithms, and ...
