I notice this too. It usually seems to happen with poly sounds. Shifting the filter cutoff usually seems to take the worst of it away. This is not a good workaround, because your sound will change too much.

I too have problems with syncing using usb midi. At random times the electribe looses the sync. I have to reattach the usb to fix. This is with Ableton Live 64bit on Win 8.1 (so it might nog be a DAW problem but more OS / driver?)

When using the Electribe as a master this doesn't seem to happen.
