R3 shares its sound engine with the microKORG XL so they are interchangeable. The XL+ then added some additional sample oscillators which can't be loaded into R3 sounds.

Hi Dave. It's not impossible that someone here could help, but your questions seem entirely related to the Launch Pad therefore presumably you would have more chance of a response on a relevant Novation forum. Good luck.

I suspect around 500 people will want and be able to afford this.

Nothing to do with the Raspberry Pi, my Korg ARP 2600 is also the same and there is no processor in there. The last synth i recall from Korg that can be turned on remotely was the Prologue - the ARP 2600 has a "proper" power switch but still does not react to external power on. I can only suspect it ...

maybe the "Korg Virtual Analog Synths (General)" section of the forum is a good place to start. While Drumlogue does contain one single virtual analog synth in the multi engine (created by third party company Sinevibes), it has 4 analog voices and 6 sampled voices centered around sequencing and FX ...

Re: No new Synths from Korg in 2023/2024??

So nothing new from Korg in 2023 ? ... Bad Times…. I don't mind, quite the opposite. I'd rather Korg improve their existing products than keep churning out new ones. I don't need a successor to Kronos, I'd rather be in favor of improving its software. And that there is room for improvement. Same g ...

Without you saying what parts the service centre is claiming are not available, it sure sounds just like dodgy encoder(s). If this is the case, then the MIDI messages will be the same controller that the faulty pot(s) control which you could check using a MIDI monitor. I would try some electrical ...

it's a brilliant Digital/HYBRID synth, if you're into that don't settle for less. Maybe a bit unfair due to that third oscillator is digital multiengine to call it hybrid synth. Most analog has digital effect section anyway. It's 2 VCO analog with third oscillator digital option as I see it. - and ...

Minilogue and XD do exactly the same as you report where VCO2 tracks across the oscilloscope based on how out of tune with VCO1 is. I dont know how oscilloscopes work but I can only guess it references VCO1 as the master and so locks that, with VCO2 showing the relative difference. On Minilogue XD ...

To me it sounds like they are just out of tune, and you will probably see the tuning offset change slightly as component temperatures change after starting to use it after power up. It can be difficult to tune VCO analog oscillators perfectly, especially on Minilogue which although has high ...

Re: Radias module and M3 module installed on 61 key keyboard

Hi everyone, I'm asking for a friend of mine who is wanting to buy an M3 Expanded 61 and has also sourced a Radias module. Has anyone tried to install both modules on the same 61 keys keyboard? What do I need to be careful about. The Keyboard Assembly Owner's Manual from KORG does not specify how ...

Im not sure what you are expecting to see, but you have used the phrase "sequencer doesnt recognise" so might help if you weren't aware with hardware MIDI (DIN or TRS) there is no recognition/handshaking - MIDI information is sent in the blind and you have to make sure you have cabling and channels ...

Re: Getting Prologue repaired out of warranty

I heard Korg no longer repair instruments that are past warranty. That seems a bit s**t. I gotta ask where did you hear that stupid comment? I know Korg NZ Distributers regularly repairs all ages of Korg synths, they repaired a 1980's M1 rack for me last year. That was from someone in the UK about ...
