Wavestation reloaded available

Post by postman »

Hi all,

The WAVESTATION Reloaded package is available. You can download it here:

https://sites.google.com/site/wavestationreloaded/

The site also describes how you can remake your own Wavestation sounds.

It is all for free, but if you like it, you can make a donation. I appreciate it, thank you!

Keep playing, have fun!

It sounds fantastic. I hope people appreciate how much work went into recreating all of this. This is not trivial by any stretch.

Seeing as most people only use presets anyway, it's like you gave the Kronos another engine.

THANK YOU Postman!!!

I must have missed something, what is the KSC for?

Edit: sorry, I misunderstood the question. You are right. The KSC file is not needed, since the existing waves are used. I have corrected it. The download now only contains a PCG.

Sure. It has the same HD1 engine as the other Kronos versions. I have upgraded mine to the same OS as the Kronos 2. It works fine.

First off, thanks so much for doing this. I know this was a huge effort.

But I'm not sure how, but I appear to be having an issue. Only about 30% of the programs actually work when I browse thru in disk mode. For example, U-FF 000 works fine, but U-FF 001 does not. When I load it into a slot (U-AA 127 for my test) and look at the sample, it says 'U-DD-29 Init Wave Sequence.' Nothing exists in that entire sample bank from what I can see.

This is a Kronos 88 (orig) running OS 3.02.

Am I the only one having this issue?

All of the programs seem to work on my K88 (also an original running 3.02)...when I load U-FF 001 into a slot, the OSC page says "U-DD29 ROM11 29:*WavRytm"...maybe you don't have the new Wavestation wave sequences USER-DD loaded?

I think dfahrner is right. U-FF 001 uses wave sequences U-DD29. Many of the sounds need the waves sequences, especially from U-DD, so be sure to install them all before trying the programs and combinations. By the way: you will only get the true WAVESTATION experience if you play the combinations. The Programs are only the necessary building blocks.

OK thanks. Where do I find that? I looked in my Factory folder and it's not in there. Is there somewhere else I need to look?
