So I bought a Triton Extreme...
Thus far, really happy with it. A quick question if I may...
I have a Triton classic that has some treasured / well used Combi sounds.
How can I (quickly) get some created COMBIs (from Staple PROGS) from a Classic into the Extreme without the disk drive option.
I have use of a PC but no floppy disk drive...
Naturally, a little bit of re-routing PROG names/positions will be needed but can it be done OR do I have to build sounds up again from afresh?
Any help would be appreciated...I have a short amount of time pre next gig & Ideally wanted to take her out on the road.

You need to figure out how get your prog/combi data into your computer.
If the disk drive on the triton still works you might want to pick up a USB floppy disk drive (~$20 US from most office stores, or try www.newegg.com for online shopping).
If your drive is broken, you'll need to find away to save a .pcg file via MIDI to your computer.
Your Extreme can read .pcg files directly from a USB thumb drive - that is really the easiest way I know of to get .pcg files from computer to the Extreme.
You'll want to use the smallest drive you can find <4GB. Larger drives can't be read or take a very long time to register when inserted. [FYI: .pcg files are pretty small - you can fit the entire korgforums download section on a 1 or 2 gig thumb drive.]
The .pcg files will be in "media" menu.
You can audition program files, but not combis.
Anything compatible with stock Classic should be readable with Extreme, though there may be some adjustments needed, especially in cases where MOSS or EXB samples are part of the sound.

Thanks, That's just what I needed.
Yes, the Triton's Disk drive still works fine (I've got songs on disks and all sorts).
So...I should look at the USB floppy drive then.
I take it the Extreme will read the floppy's through USB port then? Sorry, I'm a bit of a tried & tested Trinity/Floppy apologist...PC's haven't quite worked their magic on me yet.

No - USB floppy gets your personal/custom .pcg files (disks) into your computer -- then load them (all) into a USB thumb drive -- then jack that into the USB input on back of Extreme and press "Media" button and load what you want exactly where you want it.
All of your disks will likely go on a single USB drive, even a toyishly small 126MB (I can't even find them any more, and 1 & 2 GB are getting hard to find) will hold several dozen .pcg files easily.

Actually, that's fab...I've an oldish laptop with a separate Floppy drive. Where there's a will there's a way...
AS long as I can get the PROG/COMB/SEQ data to that, I should be able to make this work.
You're a star!

Prog/Combi/Global (scales, drum kits settings) are .PCG
Sequences are .SNG and have their own separate file.
Sample data is .KMP (for keymap i think).
You can chose which data to save/load.

All sorted, thanks Bill!
Incidentally, bought a 16GB Memory stick...after reading a few posts here (going back a couple of years) I panicked thinking it was too big. Suffice to say, it works absolutely fine.
Cheers,
Pete.

The delay may not bother you as much. For me the wait as the extreme tries to read and internalize every file (yes I have lots) always makes me think something is not working -- the delay's not nearly as much with smaller capacity drives.
