Hello,
Could anyone advise me on the following please;
I have quite a lot of Midi and MP3 files stored in both my Songbook and USB stick. They all play ok but take an age to load - probably 3 times as long as a Song selected from the Songbook. Can't understand why it takes so long to load these files, surely they should load at the same speed as any other file !.
Secondly, is it possible to change the key of a Midi file to suit my own playing.
If so how do I do it.
Thanks,
Derek B.

Yes you can change the key of a midi file, you may be able to do it on your keyboard via transpose ( not to sure ) but you definetly can using any midi editor type program a good free one is anvil studio its free, and follow the instructions provided.

basically you select all the tracks ( except the drums ) and to take it up use the + the number of semi tones required or to go down the other way

Its easy to change key by loading the song in Sequencer Mode, Menu, Song Edit, Transpose, select all tracks, change transpose value and save the song. Drum track 10 will automaticly be excluded from transposition.
There is a Fast play option somewhere (Song Play Mode, Menul, Preferences, Play Setup, tick Fast Play) which I know works for midis, but probably not for mp3s. I basicly cuts out the empty bar at the start of a song.
Cheers,
John
