Can I use a Korg nanopad 2 with Krome

Post by Gnashetta »

Someone has given me a Korg nanopad 2. Is there a use for it with tbe Kronos. It has a usb cable with it yet the Krome has no port so I'm not expecting a positive answer.
Thanks

Not directly. If you connect the Nanopad via USB to a computer, you can then route the midi either in your daw or with something like midipipe (mac software) to the Krome. You'll need to have the Krome connected to the computer via usb, or with an audio/midi interface and then use midi cables.

I'm assuming you do mean a Krome in which case lutefish is right. But just in case that wasn't a typo, you can plug the Nanopad 2 into one of the available USB ports on the Kronos and use the top eight pads as KARMA chord pads, and the bottom eight ones can be programmed through the editor software.
