Hi John

Firstly, welcome to the forums and congrats on getting the best arranger on the market.

No, this is not normal.
I would strongly recommend performing a full keyboard reset by downloading this file, unzipping and following the instructions:-

Let us know how you go.

Cool - sorry to hit you with a "RESET" suggestion at such an early stage but it will be a solid starting point when you have done it.
If you still have the porblems after that you may need to get to your retailer quickly and log it into a service centre.

So, after a stock RESET (with nothing else loaded) everthing should work well - no delays changing sounds etc...

Please keep in touch with this.
We have some great members here, like Antony Sharmman and others, who may be able to suggest other more technical options before you "give it back"

All the best

There is no delay time issue in PaSeries , even with 512 Mb custom samples , all change instantly !
As first , try a factory style , changing it's STS sounds by default !
If you notice no delay time there , then your custom styles have incompatibility issues you have to fix !
No matter if you recall factory STS in those styles.

As concern to your STS from custom sounds with samples , delay time is the subsequence of messed up
samples & multisamples , and to be more specific , Sound missing reference OSC of manually deleted multisamples
or listed gray samples of multisamples container.
In that case , a very complex workflow to heal your SET !

hi antony thank you for replay to be honest there is no delay with tst factory or user the delay is only when selecting some performance from user set or factory .directly from performance category but not all of them some of theme dose so do you think the set has something wrong cos i have tried many sets all have same problem and this delay happens ones like if i select a sound and then back to the same sound 2nd time dose not delay to load but if i change the category and choose different sound will happen again

First of all take as granted that there no internet/amateur shared SET without issues !
I repeat , select a default factory style and try to select from there any untouched factory performance (STS )
and notice if you have any initial delay time , if not then read again what I wrote !

Another good test (after saving your SET) , is to follow path Sound/Record/sample edit/ upper screen drop-down menu
/ delete / all samples and multisamples.

Then try anything you like and if you see the slightest changing delay time then start to worry about a keyboard issue ,
else your custom SET & samples have issues !
The best prove that you have a best working keyboard is Media/Utility/Factory restore , where I'm pretty sure
that all work like a charm !

ok i loaded the factory restore point with nothing else loaded and tried the keyboard it is the same delay in everything sounds .tst.performance and now even the factory style if you choose any style you have to wait 3-5 sec till be highlighted and changed how you expect some one play live like this seriously guys if you new that there is something wrong why just dont tell me to take it back to the store and get another one wouldn it be easier then giving me different suggestions ? if all pa3x are like this i am very disappointed that korg start making rubbish arranger keyboards and sale them for 4000$ is this is fair ?
i have old yamaha psr ones i press anything it respond immediately after many years korg come up with this come on bro seriously ?
