Hello everybody, a quick question, please:

I am a Kronos owner, but I do not want to move 2/3 times a week going to studio. I keep the Kronos only for live gigs.

I am considering to buy a M50 for that purpose (lighter, good sound, good price nowadays).

Question is:

Can I mute / solo parts on the fly ? (example with knobs or buttons?). I some songs I'm using about 4/5 parts and I would like to kill the sound in some parts (example, only uses swell choirs pad for 'verse', the come back only to piano sound).

Can this be done with 4 knobs or/and touch screen ?

You can do it with the touch screen. There is a play/mute button and a solo on/off button.

Thank you very much. It's typical Korg configuration as well, good.

Last question: how accurate / precise is the touch screen ? (if in the middle of the song I touch but screen did not respond...)

I have an M3 so I can't verify how good the M50 screen is but it is very similar to the M3. The actual touch component might even be the same. That being said I find the M3 screen to be pretty good. But you can sometimes miss the mark during a performance as you can with any touch screen. It's usable but it's just not quite the same as a real button for live performances. At least that's how it is for me.

I will try the screen and see. It's a 'little' shame that mute/solo functions can not be assigned to 'chord assign' buttons.

I am also thinking to add some kind of modulation to knobs to control parts volume. That may be useful too.
