I can't hear what I'm playing or recording on the KP3!

Post by Bizzazz »

For the longest time I could not hear what was being fed into the KP3! I would record a sample and cross my fingers, hoping it wouldn't sound terrible on replay. And that brings up an interesting point, I could hear what I recorded, but nothing before. So what was the fix? On the back of the unit under Connections I flipped the switch from send to DIRECT!!! Now I hear everything that is fed into the KP3 live and on the fly and I can hear what is being recorded. I have had the KP3 for over a year and I can say, for the first time, since owning it, that I love it! User errors can really sour one on equipment. With a little creativity, a-hum feeding an analog synth into it, one can attain unlimited sonic possibilities.

that SEND/DIRECT switch still catches me out occasionally when it's been switched to SEND by mistake when I move my KP3.
