I just found this post on Facebook:

Could this be real or is it too good to be true?

What do you think?

As a Windows Tablet user, I could do that since KORG first released the KRONOS Editor.

Looking back now, there's was the initial fun factor having the KRONOS display in a portable format, but in reality any editor that is simply replicating the KRONOS display is utterly pointless.

Sharp.

For people who are visually impaired (hope this is the right translation), this tiny little objects and fonts on the original touchscreen can be painful.

To have the editor on a larger screen would be very, very helpful in this case.

well, probably you are right... unless... there is an intention for Kronos rack - for rack version iPad editor makes more sense. Despite I like your Kronos rack renderings a lot, I think it is not very convenient to edit racked device via touch screen since you hardly have it aligned for right viewing and touch position

Totally agree with that, but I would be pretty shocked if KORG built a KRONOS RACK. It would be truly awesome, but I think it is highly unlikely to ever happen.

Well, a kronos rack with a removable screen (like tha akai s6000 sampler) or, even better but most unlikely to happen, with a slot for an ipad and a wifi connection to it, would be great.

Totally agree, I am also visually impaired and really struggle with the Kronos screen, I have to get so close to see what I'm doing, I can't do anything on the screen while playing other than maybe setlist selection. So simple tasks like setting up a combi with Karma take ages unless I use the Kronos Editor on my PC.

To have this replicated on my iPad which I have next to me on a stand at eye level would be great but I have a feeling too few would gain as much as me to make it worth while for Korg to do this.

I suppose it could be useful for mixing remotely during sound check, kind of like the iPad app to control the Presonus StudioLive and similar products. Though in reality, I would think that would all be worked out prior to a live show.

Too bad iPads only have 1Gb RAM; we could have a virtual Kronos app. Even the A6 cpu in my phone beats the D525 Atom in the Kronos. C'mon Apple...

um, my iPad has the A7 chip and 128gig. Even my first gen iPad had 16Gb RAM.

Here's a video of the Kronos iPad remote in use. It's being developed by Kurt Ader from KARO, or at least he's the one demonstrating it. So, it looks like it's real.
