Mellotron Sounds for the Korg M50

As much as I've done a somewhat better version fo the 3-violins, I can't get my finger on the 8-voice Choir.

Few days ago, I found this iPod app http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GEanMO3Yow the Mellotronics M3000

I have no idea whatsoever in how would it work to conect to it to my keyboard hehe (since I've never even worked with VSTs), so I could use a lot of help from you guys! Any recomendation? Will I be able to use the sounds of my M50 while I use the sounds of the App? Any other Mellotron app you would recommend?

Yes you can use both at the same time in sequencer mode. You would run a usb cable with the camera connection kit into the ipad and use the ext. setting for the channel you want the mellotron on. In order to hear both you would also need to run the M50's and the ipads outputs into a mixer then out to the speakers. I have don this and know it works.

It can ONLY been done in Sequencer mode?? Is there no way I could use it in Combi mode? Since all my patches are stuffed there

You can easily move your combi you are working with into sequencer and then save it as such in seq. mode.. Just pick your combi you want to add the mellotron to then press enter and record and it sends the whole combi into the sequencer.
