Can Kaoss Pad 3's midi-out sync an external sequencer ?

Hello everybody !

I hope somebody can help me with this :

Is it possible to use the KaossPad3's midi-out to synchronize an external sequencer to. a live-drummer, by sending the drum-mix to the KP3's audio input ?

I'm playing in a band with a live drummer, and want the KP3s midi-out to sync a sequencer to the band !

Is this possible using KP3's bpm-detector/MidiClockOut ?

ANY help is GREATLY appreciated !!

If it's not possible, does anybody have ANY tips on how to sync a sequencer to a drummer, without chaining the drummer to a click-track ?

Hi Daric,

this is hard to realize because
1) the KP Auto bpm counter is , like every one, not 100% perfect and also needs some time to adapt to tempo changes.
2) the KP synchronization via midi clock out is very "unstable". it will loose sync even at the same bpm
