Transposing to a different key

Post by sixtoeightfeet »

There's only 1 song in my repertoire that requires me to use the M-50 Key Transpose feature. I've read the Korg M-50 Owner's Manual and Parameters Guide. They direct me to go into Global Mode and through various menus and various steps to so change the pitch of my M-50. I assume I would have to go back into Global Mode and go through the same process in reverse after the song in order to return my M-50 to normal tuning for the rest of my repertoire. (1) Is there an easier, faster way to transpose key? (2) Will a key-transpose change "save" in a midi-sequence song file or a combi file so that the key-transpose change happens automatically for just that one song? Thank you.
Keep lookin' 'round the bend.

You could just transpose that particular program or transpose all of the parts in a combi.

E.g. look at the Combi pitch parameters page. You can set a transpose amount for each timbre.

Or you could just learn to play the song properly.. I don't really understand personally why people want to transpose the keyboard to make all of the notes 'wrong'.
