Issue with KP3 touchscreen unresponsive- please help!

Hi all, last year I stuck my kaoss pad 3 in a secure locker for a year hiatus. I recently broke it out to start using it again and the touchscreen is completely unresponsive. It doesn't react to a finger or a stylus pen.

I can't calibrate it, and when I do an internal check it reads er.5.1.

It really is in fantastic condition, not a scratch, and it was kept in a cool safe place, so what could have gone wrong?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

OK, so I just turned it on, and it's responding. Go figure.

I originally did that but upon a "CTRL + F" search of Internal Check I couldn't find anything I'm assuming the manual it would be in is the Owners Manual located here:
