is there any way to make the saxaphones on the pa800 sound something like the ones on the yamaha tyros 3?
Thank you!

The only way is sampling another keyboard's locked internal resources like Tyros or PaSeries.
The right procedure is to edit saxophone sound in Tyros , sampling standalone every single sound timbre (multisample)
via ESC software including articulations & FXs , loop them , convert to KMP format multisamples via awave studio utility ,
import them in PaSeries and assemble all multisamples in a new Pa sound following the same sound architecture like in Tyros
using Pa articulations ! (not to mention that this is strictly experts procedure).
Also note that the only PaSeries that can emulate exactly Tyros 3 - 4 sounds is Pa3X which has the required articulations
like legato up & Down that are required for creating exactly the same saxophone and the only one that worth it is soprano sax !

thanks for your help!
do you know of a sax sound that has already been made that sounds highly articulate or one that has been tweaked?
also is it not at all possible to get the leggato effect on the pa800?

I want to clarify this frequently told sound "tweaking" in forum.
A real instrument like sax , piano , violin , have no tweaking at all , just have or not the right samples like body velocities ,
slides , glissando , FXs ... ect ! no samples no tweaking , if I made my self clear , this is not a synth sound !
For instance these are real DNC saxes in Pa2-3X

Therefore you can't create Tyros 3-4 sax in Pa800 with tweaking but only with custom samples (without legato DNC).

As I said Pa800 doesn't have OSC legato up & down features to assign sampled sax legato articulations from Tyros.
If assign simple OSC legato with portamento value , then it will be heard like a joke ! only Pa3X has all the features.
But there is an alternative option I use in older series (also in video) , where you can assign Up & Down glissando
samples to +-Y axe of joystick as standalone and overriding release controller !

I do not provide standalone sounds , but if we assume that you could get it , then more than your half Ram will be filled !

A saxophone has a few octaves. I think that small samples of every second or third note over 2 octaves is enough.
It uses less space then a the piano that Rob made a few years ago, that uses half the standard memory of a PA2.

No objection at all for a saxophone you have in mind !
But for a proper sax development of mine things differ ... see why in a simple sax :
- (3 octaves sampled sax per 2 semitones) X 3 velocity layers
- (3 octaves sampled per 2 semitones) X slides X glis up X glis down X release X buzz
- add blowing , key FXs
In the best case 40 Mb sampling magnitude with accurate looping processing are required !
That's why I need more than 400 Mb samples to create a decent result of acoustic instruments !

nice saxs.. this is sounds qualitys that should have been in the keyboard in the first place by KORG.
