Replacement buttons

Has anyone fitted any of the above. I have to press down harder on a few of these ie program mode button. Is it a relatively simple DIY--once you have the part?

False alarm. I've found an old thread on this. WD40 seems to do the trick.

Did you spray the WD-40 directly under the buttons by opening the hood? I have many buttons with problems but some days they just work. many days a few just are stubborn. But if WD-40 works I am willing to try testing it. I am worried that I may over saturate it though.

Well as someone who also had reservations about using a liquid inside my Oasys,I have used the WD40 method based on others saying it works a treat and can vouch for it.

I had several non functioning buttons and simply put a droplet on each of the actual pads on the circuit board,no need to over saturate them a little squeeze will apply a small amount,WD40 cans come with a straw applicator so you can get direct to the part without spraying everything else on the inside of the Oasys in the process,it simply slots into the nozzle helping you to reach intricate parts,or do what I did and simply spray the nozzle away from inside of the oasys to put a tiny amount of WD40 into the straw and then tilt the can back to keep the liquid inside the straw then place it near the button and tilt it the other way to roll out the fluid that way you shouldn't over saturate it or risk of soaking other parts

Luckily enough the buttons I had not working didn't require any dismantling of circuit boards to get to them and it was simply a case of lifting the hood up as they were all accessible in situ plus the straw also helped getting to them,dependant on which buttons of yours are not functioning you may have to take apart some circuit boards.

I'm sorry I've been so slow in replying to the thread I started. In the end I backed away from WD40 although I think Mike Conway tried it. Instead I simply used the O more often than before. Sometimes weeks go by before I open it up and with such a delay, I think the buttons went to sleep because they have returned to work. Don't thrash them.
