The guitars on Live are very good quality and augment the kronos very well.
Don't get me wrong the I have had my Kronos for two years or more and it still make me smile :D :D :D

How do you setup live 8 and Kronos ? Who is the master clock? Do you rec Kronos midi or directly audio?

I tried to use kronos as master but I couldn't start the live 8 sequencer because the start / stop buttons are disabled when is slave...
BTW I am connecting Kronos to Mac only with USB

I'm sorry I have a rubbish memory but if you have live try any of them they are good.

When I setup live I start up kronos first and live auto detects kronos if that fails go to live preferences and setup kronos there.
Hope this helps.

i really like ableton. I dont have a kronos at the moment, but i do use live for (almost) strictly midi control of external instruments, and let me say i've been quite pleased with the results. I used a friends launchpad for a couple of days and it makes controlling all of your gear very easy.(and believe it or not fun!)

Yes, i do the same. But when you rec a Karma arrangement what is your master clock source? Do you select a combi and then manually apply the same bpm tempo to ableton ? I tried to assign Kronos as master and ableton as slave but I can't make this setup work.

I'll be sure to try, I have the full Live Suite but was so disappointed with my first foray into the included sounds that I've left them alone since.

I am no expert at this but when I setup live I did nothing on the kronos
So kronos would have been midi master.
Make sure your midi channels are all setup correctly.
But as i say i have only had live for about week so don't know it that well yet. sorry for the delay in answering you.
Hope its been some help.
There are plenty of videos on youtube showing you how to use live.

If you use Ableton as tempo slave then it expects start/stop/locate commends from MIDI. You can send them from Kronos in SEQ mode using START/STOP/LOCATE buttons.

Thanks alland!! You turned on a light. In sequence mode the start / stop and locate buttons works buttons but... I would like this feature in combi because I don't want to copy each combi into a sequence to have this buttons active. On the other hand if the combi has karma is possible to start and stop ableton with the global P1: midi parameter > Enable Start/Stop Out in Prog/Combi. Fair enough... maybe I can start to use ableton and Kronos together!
