PA3X Vocal Harmonizer Question

I finally got around to trying set the vocal harmonizer on my PA3. I was able to get it working but ran into a problem trying to save my settings. I've looked in the manual which is what helped me learn how to work the harmonizer but I can't find where it addresses saving the data.
Here is an example: I've saved all of my data in the Songbook. So I assumed (since I couldn't find instructions in the manual) that I could save the harmonizer data the same way using the same steps.

1. Find a harmony preset, in this case #9.
2. Go to Songbook edit 1
3. Follow the prompts in Songbook
4. Save the song and hopefully the harmony preset.

When I opened the song, it showed all of my settings except harmony 9. Instead it showed the harmonizer default #1.

So what it appears to be doing is defaulting to the #1 preset instead of the one I was trying to save.

Has anyone out there tried to save the harmonizer presets into the songs in Songbook and if so where am I going wrong? Thanks and keep playing music.

Wow that must have been a hard question. 71 hits and no response. Makes me think that very few PA3X owners use the onboard vocal harmonizer. Take care all. :?

Hey Chuck

Just responding so you don't feel lonely....

I can't help at the moment as I have not set up my SONGBOOK performance SETs on my PA3X
I have spent too much time playing around with it. I do need to do this too so I might have a go this weekend and see if I have the same problem as you.

Cheers

Pete :D

Try check Global - Voice Processor Preset, and unlock it, (up to the right on the screen), could be the problem.

While working through the user manual (got my pa3x 2 days ago)
I read this on p. 82:
The Voice Processor Preset selection will be saved in a SongBook entry, only if you will also save
an STS. So, please don’t forget to check the “Write” checkbox in the “STS” area.

All excellent responses, thanks. I'll give them a try and let you know which one worked.
Another thing I noticed is that some of the presets just don't seem to sound good with certain songs. Not sure why but noticed it right away. My digitech vocalist workstation has numerous presets and they all seem to work with just about any song.
I also sent a note to TC Helicon, they were not helpful, noting that it is a "Korg" problem not theirs. Again, thanks to all. Chuck :)
