Intalling updater version2.0.0 and the red line just stops half way though the installation. it's been about 20 minutes and the red line goes no further. Should I turn off the Kronos and try again or wait an hour or so?

Did you have any 3rd party KSC files set to auto-load?

No, nothing. Just got the board a few days ago, haven't really had a chance to play it that much. Nothing connected except the flashdrive containg the zipped files for the update. Still the red line is stuck and I'm afraid to turn it off for fear I'll really screw it up.

Did you format the flash drive?

I also formatted the flashdrive in the Kronos itself, so that's not it. I upzipped the files off the Korg site, coped them into the usb stick and half way thru the instal the red line just stopped and the screen says updater version 2.0.2 installing files almost half an hour now and nothing.

Sounds like it cannot find one (or more) of the installation files. I'd double check to make sure they are all present and try again.

alright. I got 2.02 installed but now I don't have the piano or drum samples. What happned to them? The synths and hd1 seems to be okay, but not pianos or drums. How do I get them back?

Go to Global P0: Basic Setup and make sure PRELOAD KSC is checked.

Hey, I really appreciate your help. I go to global, go to KSC auto-load tab, touch the box for preload ksc, go to the lower right hand side of the screen and touch "Do auto-load now" and I get this message.
auto load error. The following KSC files could not be found PRELOAD KSC. l somehow lost the EX1 for piano and drums. Should I try installing version 2 again?

Check the PRELOAD KSC box and reboot. If that doesn't work I'll email you the factory data.

I think I figured it out. I disconnected the usb after I installed version 2. I was supposed to leave it in, power down and back on again, and then disconect the usb and power down. I'll let you know.

Crap. DIdn't work. In setlist mode it says at the top of the screen "samples not loaded." I'm going to contact Korg. Really bums me. Thanks.

Anyone know the Phone# for KORG USA support? I can't f'ing believe it, it's not on their support page.

Can't believe it. I call and I get a voice mail they're in a department meeting. REALLY? Trinity if you could email me the PRELOAD KSC files that would be great. I definately lost them somehow. I've done everything I can think of, excluding reload the entire OS and for that I need a usb DVD player or something. I'm really bummed.
