I have a question for all UK customers that have purchased a Korg Microarranger.

A friend of mine took delivery of his new Microarranger today from a UK shop. He told me that his power supply only had 2 pins on it instead of the standard 3 pin UK socket type.
He then used a razor socket adapter to convert the 2 pin to a 3 pin socket, assuming this was required.

He left the keyboard plugged in for about 20 minutes and when he came back to it, the keyboard had stopped working. It has failed to power up ever since.

It sounds to me like he received the wrong power supply with his keyboard. Can any UK customers confirm this for me? Did you receive a 3 pin socket?

Hi My Microarranger came with a European plug .. I chopped it off and put a uk plug on all is well. Assuming you used a cheap and cheery adaptor plug the I would first replace that and see of that works. If that fails then get the PSU checked by the shop you bought it from and have it replaced if faulty.

The adaptor that came with my microarranger was not a Korg power supply it was a generic one. So yes he may have received either a defective power supply. I think you can power it with another power supply as well as the keyboard just requires around 12volts I think. just make sure the polarity is correctly matched
