Hi everyone.
It was suggested on the forum that it would be great to have a list of USB controllers that members of the forum are using with their KRONOS right.

So if you are using an external controller and it’s working with the KRONOS perfectly, please post your Make and Model number, plus any comments you would like to add about the Controller below.

I will review this thread on an ongoing basis and extract and add your make and model to the post below this so we can have a clean straight list.

Those wanting to know more can read the rest of the thread for your comments and feedback on the controller.

Please also note, just because a controller is not listed does not mean it does not work. Chances are the KRONOS will work with most controllers. This list and thread is only meant as a verification and a means for you to communicate with others who are using the controller your interested in.

Regards
Sharp.

Two video’s showing how to program an AKAI MPD 32 to work with the KRONOS.

Video 1 shows how to assign a basic CC. Video 2 shows how to assign the KRONOS Pads.

You can add to the list:

Roland RD-700NX (midi): straight plug and play, couldn't be more simple.

I'm assuming we're going for the USB connection, as standard midi should always work.

The Kurzweil PC361's Midi over USB connection works fine with the Kronos. Yes, it's not a dedicated controller, but it works just fine as such.

M-Audio Axiom61(2nd Gen) works perfectly here, and is pretty good-looking in Combination with the K.

The Roland / Cakewalk A-300PRO works over USB...I find it useful as a right-hand controller for playing lead parts, and then there's not a 2nd tier keyboard blocking the audience view (and the music stand)...although I haven't done it yet for use with the KRONOS, every knob / slider / pad on the A-300PRO can be programmed to sent out SYSEX information, which I've used for quick setup changes / ajustments on other synths (Motif and S70XS)...

I wasn't precise in my precedent post, but I can confirm that the RD-700 NX works over USB and should be added to the list

CME M-Key, M-Audio Keystation 61es, M-Audio Keyrig 49, M-Audio Oxygen 88, KORG nanoControl, KORG nanoKey works fine.

Edirol PCR-30 doesnt work via USB, because it isn't generic device and requires special driver.

As far as I can see - all of generic devices(which doesnt requires special driver) will work with KRONOS.

Controllers known to work with Kronos.

I saw a you tube video which showed a Korg PadKontrol being used as a controller. Seemed to work well.

Does anyone know if the NI Maschine would work via USB? Thanks.

Not exactly a dedicated controller, but I'm using a Korg X50 to control Kronos via USB, and it works perfectly (assorted controls included).
