Enjoying the sound set of the RV, its comes with a selection of the original factory sounds and the 2 sound packs...different from the sounds that ship with the BK.

Awesome!!!
I have the 88 on order since January and am glad to see that Korg is finally shipping them.
Did the sound pack 2 come with the keyboard, or did you have it already?
Congratulations !!! 8)

It came with some sounds from sound pack 2. It was a combination of sounds from the different sound packs.

My 88-key arrived this morning! So excited. This is my first experience of the SV-1 (other than a quick demo in the shop) so I'm not sure what sounds are loaded on from the factory, but i've downloaded both soundpacks in advance just to make sure.

Looks just like my setup, same stand and all.

I didn't realize the defaults were different. For me, it was still a revelation when I finally gave up playing with them and imported in the Sound Pack 2 stuff. They are such a big improvement, to my tastes. Far less hyped up effects, much more realistic and stripped down. Not just the Rhodes, but the Acoustic Pianos too.

Which sounds did your default have from Sound Pack 2?

Nice!
How does the reverse key thing play? Did you have to adjust?

I would be very surprised if it is different than the nonreversed version.

It's not too bad at all - I did have one moment on the first night where I guess I jumped my hand going on blocks of colour not the actual notes, but wasn't a big deal. I've done 3 shows since then, in varying light levels and haven't had any problems at all.

I'm thinking of getting one of these. I wanted one when they first came out, but wasn't sure I'd be happy with the ep's. As many others have said.. too much bell in upper register. I recently bought the Kurzweil sp4-8 cause I thought the Stevie Rhds sounded good on youtube. When I got it, I realized just how wrong I was. I'm returning it and hoping the Sv1 with sound pack 2 will have what I'm looking for. When it comes down to it.. I just want something that sounds like those old funk records (Herbie, stevie) ya know? I can't find any live band demos of the sound pack 2 rhodes. are you able to dial in something close to that style of rhodes? any insight will be much appreciated thanks.

My band covers a number of Stevie Wonder songs and the SV1's pretty spot on with those signature sounds. The EP-1 on the Kronos, however, gives you a lot more editability as far as the Rhodes and Wurlitzer sounds go. Anyways, here's a photo of the SV1 controlling Animoog on the iPad and Sunrizer synth on the iPhone. Both the iPad and iPhone go through the SV1's audio ins. Trippy!

I've got the iklip http://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/iklip/ attached to the V-stand's mic boom. Connected via usb. The iphone's hooked up via a Line6 midi mobilizer.
