Joystick failure

wondering if anyone else has had their joystick go out on them. Mine is sticking in the +X position and won't return to center on it's own, I can feel it catching at one point during the return to center when I nudge it. Happened once a couple weeks ago, then a few times here lately now it's all the time, bummer........... I've got an extended warranty but sure don't want to ship it anywhere or have any extended down time. Anyone pulled the back plate off of theirs ? I haven't looked for a how to disassemble video yet. I've been inside a lot of tritons over the years but this is my baby !!!

The joystick does nor spring back to center.
It stays where you point it.

I think Soundsailor is refering to the X Y joystick, not the vector joystick.
Sounds like a warranty fix.

I NEVER have gear under warranty, EVER..... so I've fixed a lot of issues on my own, but I do on this baby and I've got a shop close enough that I trust and they estimate a 2 week turn around so off it goes tomorrow, I will post back anything of interest, I'm going to retain possession of the broken part for inspection too.

the boy's at American music did a quick turn around for me. Wire plug came loose and was getting in the way and causing it to stick. He said it didn't have a clip lock on it, he laid a couple lines of silicone to hold it in place. Oh happy days..............

I'm glad your joystick is fixed. Please don't be concerned about the following information. I doubt if you will have any problem.
Commonly available Silicone Adhesives should NEVER be used in electronic equipment. The normal cure system releases acetic acid (vinegar) which causes corrosion. Special Silicone Adhesives for electronic components using a different cure system are available and recommended.
