At
http://www.korgpa.com/en/products/arran ... tions.html, point 9:
Self-refreshing PCM Data memory backup – supported by our own Intelligent Re-Charge system – ensures fast startup
I've loaded into my PA3X
ONLY Groove PAD from Ekomusic (Korg Italy) and my
fast startup is over 5 minutes. Last saturday during my gig I've got blackout and all people looking at me, I was very embarassed. More then five minuts!
I would like know
when this will be fixed: one week, one month, one year? I don't want the exact date, only a prevision.. And please remove that phrase from KorgPA site, at least until the startup will indeed be fast.

Hallo allemaal,
In afwachting
Met vriendelijke groet,
Aygulf

Hi all,
I completely agree with Redfox. After an earlier use of a Groovepad I experienced a long restart time of the PA3X. So I decide the latest Groovepad (march 2012) from the EKO music group not to use, reason the too long restart time.
In my opinion Korg has to solve this problem first!
Best regards

Look how long it took for korg to get out all the bugs in the operating system of the pa2x and pa800 and they're still bugs in it so your new your keyboard pa3x will have bugs in it for some time to come I think you should just wait a year and the Pa3x that might be half done ( that the OS ) the new keyboard does not have too much new stuff in it and for the price and for the headache it brings , and now if you upgrade form the pa2 you have to swap thing around , the sets and fixing the songbook link . They give you new Keyboard that's only halfway done ,, tell me were you work , if you do the job halfway and say I fix it in next year or so , what the hurry , when we get this one fix ,, we will have the New and better and faster PA5.2 x , readly for sale . get the new one we fix it all , no load time , well we will fix that soon or later, again what the hurry , it plays ,just do not use the function for now you live this long with out it ..
ok Korg is a little better that , I think .
yes I love Korg stuff . and from the start with the korg i3 on up to the pa800, each keyboard offer just a little bit more , no ground breaking advancement , so for me I wate and get the pa5, if that what korg calls it .

The same problem is in my topic:
http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpBB2/ ... hp?t=68437
So far battery is only fake advertising. IT DOES NOT DO WHAT IT SAYS!!!
People should be introduced in this problem and when PA3X goes down with selling ,and maybe then will KORG do something about it.
A big disappointment that after ~ 7 months there are no words from KORG about current bugs and problems.

In other post Trammanoni said "We are aware of a problem with slow loading samples in some situations, and we are after it. We are further investigating on this matter, but please do not bring your Pa3X to the Service Center before we come out with further notice". The problem is in that "some situations": we don't know which are and we cannot avoid them.
Musicrazy, you are lucky: my PA3X worked perfectly until 3 months ago; from that date my loading time is long, the repeated reset do not help anything, if I want to use the audio grooves of Ekomusic I have to wait more than five minutes before playing.

I have to agree with you on the time taken to load the RAM.
I have now removed the Eko groove RAM samples and start time is back to
about 1 minute. I've retained the styles and the pads using guitar voices.
Still think is is a great keyboard & happy with it.
Regards & happy playing

Yes it is a good sounding keyboard, when you get to play it.
I have 1003 seconds of sampling available, and it takes 23 minutes before the PA3X comes alive, by then I loose interest, forget about the phrase that I had in mind and specially uncomfortable to take it to concerts just in case there would be a power shortage.
Just imagine 23 minutes of waiting on the stage and 300, 400 people looking at you, Try explaining them that Korg is misleading and OS is far from perfection.
Your salary will also have some major shortage.
Not only we paid for something that is not as advertised, but we also do free quality control for Korg.
I wonder who is the employee of this month???
