Could you theoretically make dubstep on the M50? I was thinking about how to do it and couldn't think of too many reasons.

This is something ive been experiemnting with. Itll be a while before i'm finished but i'll try to post results when i get a piece recorded.

You definitely can do dubstepish stuff, it'll just probably never sound quite as 'gritty' as professionally produced music made with DAWs (I'm going to go ahead and assume youre talking about skrillex style dubstep and not th eolder UK dubstep which sounds a bit different.)

Another setback is most dubstep songs use a huge variety of timbres throughtout, whereas teh M50 is a bit more limited in fx and voices, so live playing would certainly be difficult (though thats what i plan to do)

Yea the older dubstep seems to be less effect-laden, so it would seem easier to produce.

What I am wondering is, are there ways to modify the tracks live without controllers or accessories? I figure that the "external" knobs have functionality with a Korg-compatible product, but I don't want to spend a lot of money, so I'm looking for an alternative.

Of course, If you know of some controllers/accessories that go for cheap, I would be glad to hear about it.
