Possibly both, but discussions should be here. In any case, I just installed the iKoassilator...what a riot. Having tons of fun.

My iPad 2 has been a total joy for music. Incredible stuff for a fraction of the price of the originals. Latest additions:

Alchemy, iMashine, FL Studio HD, Sunrizer (awesome synth), SampleWiz (from JR), and more.

I have all the Korg iThingies too.

Is the iPad a toy or a serious tool for musicians? Both, dependant upon how you use it.

Is it iPad ready? and not just a iphone version on a bigger screen. Would be fun if you could have few of them beside eachother or similar. Or atleast have more stuff visible at once compared to the iphone version.

This is what I have been thinking about too

I'm waiting for version 3 since I've heard they are upgrading the screen. That way I can use it for some fun music stuff as well as for my photography stuff which will be it's main use.

It works perfectly on the iPad 2. At the bottom right hand corner of most apps is a circle with "1X" or "2X". The 1 minimizes and the 2X fits to full screen.

Works great on my iPad! Hope they bring the arpeggiator to it soon as I love that on my Kaossilator. Manually setting of accurate BPM would be cool too, to jam along to tracks - finding TAP tempo a bit hit and miss, and +/- buttons only go up and down in whole increments.

Absolute bargain at the current price and fantaastic fun!

Anyone got a line on possible extra content (samples/patterns) for iKaoss?

I notice that it appears in iTunes as an app that can "share", as in download files from my mac -- from which I take it that there may be a way to beef up the patterns from sources for the hardware versions. True? [I hope!]

I'm a long time synth user, but really new to the Kaoss series. Any signposts would be greatly appreciated.

Was really excited about this app, but will not work on any of my 3 ipod touch 3rd gens. IOS"s are current, as well as iTunes software. iTunes as well as Korg's iKaoscillator help center state it will work on 3rd gens Touch. (http://www.korguser.net/ikaossilator/en/index.html)
Anyone else heard about any other compatibility issues?

it will work on 3rd and 4th gen ipod touch, but not on 3rd gen iphone.

Hmmm, it is not working on any of my three 3rd generation touches. I wonder what the issue is? I've tried re-installation several times, cleared my touch, rebooted both touches and PC, and still not working. Have you gotten it to work on a 3rd gen iTouch? If so, how? and what IOS were you running it on? What version of iTunes? Somehow, I don't think the problem is either anything I'm doing or my 3rd gen iTouches.

Well my ipod touch is broken...I installed the app onto my friend's ipod4. We tried, too, on his older ipod3 but no go.

v2 is out, they added clipboard and soundcloud export, but in such a lame way it was better without, it only exports a 8 bar loop of everythng, no performance, no build up

and they didnt even add volume for parts
