Personally, I would be asking about a Japanese company.

You should be aware that any warranty issues would require you to ship the keyboard back to the U.S.A..

if you spend time on ebay, you will find some retailers who export.
However, you need to understand the expensive risks of exporting an expensive keyboard.

Korg is a global company. It seems they should honor the warranty no matter where you purchased it. I could be wrong though.
I purchased mine in Japan. But I was able to register it at Korg USA and replied back indicating I have a 2 year warranty. I even noted during registration where I put purchased it from.

if you are correct, what US service center would you ship your Kronos to for repair ?

If I was in the States, I would ship it to the closest one to the City of Champions.

www.miroc.co.jp use to ship products to overseas customers a few years ago. Not sure if they still have English speaking staff.

yeah ive imported a fair bit before now , the uk is an utter ripoff for prices, almost double , i just no longer buy in the uk on virtually everything.I am pretty sure korg uk wont transfer or offer any cover on one as to be honest the hyped uk market and prices they probably love and i get the feeling alot of these companies dont like people who privately import .If they priced the unit the same as usa with vat added on i could understand but they dont , its way beyond that and its because the uk is a little island with an island mentality and busines plays to this.I may just wait 6 months when they will be 2500$ on ebay and import one then , its so predictable , wait a few months and prices come falling down and also you dont end up being an unpaid Beta tester then for korg or any of these companies .
I wonder what the cheapest price is worldwide . . . . you know you could probably import them into the uk one at a time , pay all duty and still sell them way under the shops in uk and still make money ? thats an odd situation . . . korg need to address this pricing as its got out of hand year on year.
