My 1st solo album!! Prog rock keyboardist

Post by ferchis »

Hi everyone on the forum!!

I just wanted to share with you the release of my 1st studio album, called "THE PARADOX". It's quite eclectic, though the basis is prog rock

You can download it here

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=BSGXEMGH

BTW I used an M50 88 and a kaossilator in the recording, along with a couple of vsts (omnisphere, NI bx3, etc)

I'd appreciate any kind of comment on the songs and sound!! (it was recorded at my home studio with a couple of guests...)

See you!!
Fernando

It may have something to do with the hosting site you're using. I've never seen it before. When I clicked on download and chose "save file" it wants to download an installer. Why not just download the zip file. Maybe the installer is the zip file. I don't know and I don't want to proceed.

It might just be me, but I have a hard time putting my trust in this site. Just sayin'.

Hi mikeraba, the megaupload link is fully working! are you sure you waited the 40 or so seconds and hit the "regular download" black button??

I've just tried it and it worked no problem...

if it's still not working, then I'll move it to some place else!!

cheers!

hi, ferchis!

well... i'm not prog rock fan) so most hard part is not for me... but i like, that few songs give me some feeling of an amusement park or circus)

first of all - too much high frequency, imho... i listened in headphones (yep, not that good but ok - sony mdr-xd200) and it was rather hard to hear those many high hi-hats not hearing low frequency bass... it's better with subwoofer, but it isn't the solution.
and sometimes i can hear synth sounds that are "not welcome" in it's place or implemented not very delicate)

my favourites are: "Welcome to the Show"(if it was lighter - i would like it more) and "She's like a Green Meadow (because she makes me happy)" (very nice ballad!)
especially i like your vocals! but it sounds a bit "departed" from the music in the mix...

Thanx for sharing! =D>
and the link is ok - simple zip with mp3's and extras)

thanks manjeroque for the comments!! I totally agree with you, it's amazing that when I first mastered it it really sounded ok to me, but some weeks later I began to realise that high frequencies were REALLY high, maybe because my monitors (m audio bx5as) were lying to me as regards bass freqs.

overall, though, I think it's an earnest attempt at a debut album and IMHO a most encouraging start for things to come!!!

cheers!
